Human Library a Tremendous Success!

The Atwater Library’s Human Library was a tremendous success and attracted more than 200 people. Held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in partnership with CBC Montreal and the Inspirit Foundation, the event gave Library members and visitors a unique opportunity for one-on-one conversations with 13 “human books.” Read more

Atwater Library members using your Library card number and a compatible eReader* can use any computer with internet access to borrow our eBooks – any computer, anywhere in the world. (*The Kindle is not yet compatible with Canadian libraries.) Read more

Alzheimer Café – New to Montreal, Hosted by the Atwater Library and the Alzheimer Society of Montreal

The Atwater Library is partnering with the Alzheimer Society of Montreal to provide an Alzheimer Café for Montrealers in the Library’s elegant Reading Room. At each session there is socializing, refreshments, live music, and talks about aspects of life with dementia. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.  Read more

For-Fee Computer Courses and Workshops

We can help you upgrade your computer skills. Our for-fee course schedule for January to April 2013 includes courses for beginners as well as for intermediate users wanting to learn new features. Class sizes are small, our classroom has a computer for each student, and our instructors have a wealth of experience. Read more
